Are you tired of the same standard breakfast recipes you cook every morning? Then, check out this list of the best breakfast foods you’ve never tried.

There’s a reason breakfast is so important. Whatever foods you eat to start your morning will affect your energy level, mood, and appetite for the rest of your day. Still, even when you cook a highly balanced breakfast, these meals can be bland.

Here Are Some of the Best Breakfast Foods You’ve Never Tried

Souffle Pancakes

This Japanese recipe takes all the flavorful elements of an ordinary pancake and elevates the texture of this food to be even more delicious. It’s also simple to make!

The process of baking souffle pancakes is similar to regular pancakes, but you’ll need a mixer. First, use the mixer to whip your egg whites and sugar together until you’ve created a fluffy meringue. Next, add this meringue to your egg yolk with flour to make your souffle batter. Once it’s ready, plop this batter onto a heated stovetop.

As these souffle pancakes cook, you’ll notice that the height of the batter will grow. Once you’ve flipped and baked your pancake thoroughly, you’ll have thick, fluffy flapjacks that mix the classic taste of pancakes with the rich texture of a cake.

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 tablespoon milk
¼ cup cake flour
2 tablespoons sugar

Gallo Pinto

This dish is a classic Costa Rican recipe that’ll start off your day with a hearty and balanced meal. First, we recommend adding a traditional mixture of onion, garlic, and black beans into a heated pan.

Next, you’ll cook brown rice and mix your seasoned and sautéed black beans and onions. We recommend including pico de gallo and your choice of chicken, beef, or bacon on top. Of course, you can change the proportions and ingredients for this dish as needed.

Ingredients

½ onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups black beans
¼ cup pico de gallo
3 cups brown rice
choice of meat (ingredient amount varies)

Pancake Batter Cheese Curds

This meal combo may sound questionable, but pancake batter cheese curds are truly one of the few foods with unexpected but delicious flavor combinations. These delectable, bite-size treats mix sweet and savory. Simply prepare a pan with hot oil, drop in smaller circles of pancake batter, and lay a cube of cheese in the middle. Turn this mixture over until your batter crusts around the cheese completely. With little to no prep, you’ll have a delicious breakfast meal to start your day.

Ingredients

2 cups pancake batter

½ pound cheese curds, broken apart (broken apart)
½ quart frying oil
syrup (pour as desired)

Your breakfast is responsible for kicking off your entire day. Try some of these best breakfast foods you’ve never tried to experiment with recipes and add a new burst of energy to your morning meal.
