Supporting Our Work
Preserving Black Food Stories!
Since September 1, 2009, Cuisine Noir has pioneered conversations that connect the African diaspora through food, drink and travel.
To ensure these important, often untold stories, continue to be front and center in our communities around the world, we launched our nonprofit, The Global Food and Drink Initiative, in August 2020.
Our mission: To use the power of storytelling to preserve food and drink history, culture and language of the African diaspora.
WHAT is our work and WHY should you support
Our work centers around being a public resource to share and preserve Black food stories that are untold, told incorrectly, or ignored with actions to erase from American and world history.
Our work also includes providing tools, resources and educational opportunities for the community, small business owners and the next generation of writers of color, chefs and influencers.
By making a donation, you are helping to make sure this work continues to move forward unapologetically and that Black voices and stories will be protected and allowed to thrive.
The Global Food and Drink Initiative is a 501c3 nonprofit. All charitable donations are 100% tax-deductible.
