Enjoy the Food at Disney California Adventure, Stay For the Fun
The festival kicked off on Friday, February 28, and runs through Monday, April 21. In addition to indulging your taste buds with an eclectic assortment of food, the festival also offers culinary demonstrations.
Disney California Adventure chef Duke Brown conducted a demo on making the Birria Mac & Cheese from the newest marketplace Mercado de Antojos. This dish was a standout! The macaroni was tossed with a consommé and cheese sauce, then topped with onion-cilantro guacamole and corn tortilla crunch.
Another highlight was Musubi Fried Rice by Disney Vacation Club, located in the Golden Dreams marketplace. This new mouthwatering dish consists of glazed spiced ham on top of steamed rice with savory umami mayo and furikake.
Disney’s Aulani resort inspired the Musubi fried rice, which succeeds in every bite. It bears repeating: the food at Disney California Adventure Park is fantastic!
There are vegetarian options, like the corn chip chili pie with impossible beef, tomatoes, and jalapenos at Peppers Caliente Marketplace. The Aunt Cass Cafe offers the burrata toast on sourdough with onion jam, burrata, tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic glaze.
Experience the delightful, plant-based cherry cobbler pot de crème, featuring vanilla custard, cherry filling, and oat crumble for dessert. This satisfying cobbler, rich in cherry flavor, is available at Golden Dreams.
In the Uncork California marketplace, you’ll find a large, Mickey-shaped Snickers macaron filled with caramel ganache and Snickers pieces. While this dessert is indulgent and perfect for sharing, if you prefer to savor it solo, you may want it as your main treat.
