Located in the small city of Chestertown, about two hours from Baltimore, Great Oak Manor is once again connecting guests to wellness with the return of its My TYM (tea, yoga, and meditation) Retreat November 7 – 9.
The restorative wellness-centered retreat for woman-identifying guests will welcome Luisanna Tejada, a Vinyasa yoga specialist, and Sarah Scarborough from The Tea Huntress. Over the course of the weekend, guests are invited to experience a weekend of self-care through tea ceremonies, yoga workouts, and meditation sessions.
Guests can enjoy a tea ceremony led by Scarborough, where she will discuss the benefits of tea while sharing opportunities to achieve clarity and connection through the herbal drink. Throughout the weekend, Tejada will lead Vinyasa yoga sessions, suitable for both beginners and advanced yogis. Meditation opportunities will also be available throughout the weekend.

Emerging Writers Workshop at Great Oak Manor
Great Oak Manor is also set to host its exclusive Emerging Writer’s Workshop in collaboration with Writer’s by the Bay February 26th to March 1st, 2026.
Novice and veteran writers alike are invited to join Great Oak Manor for a four-day immersive experience centered on writing, mentorship, and connection. The workshop will be led in tandem with acclaimed authors Lauren Francis-Sharma (“Til The Well Runs Dry”, “Book of the Little Axe”, “Casualties of Truth”) and Rachel Beanland (“Florence Adler Swims Forever”, “The House Is On Fire”), who will provide support, feedback, and encouragement throughout the program.
Over the course of four days, writers will receive one-on-one mentorship sessions to discuss their project and set goals for the workshop in addition to small-group sessions centered on sharing and receiving constructive feedback from faculty and peers.
In the evenings, writers are invited to join readings with the group next to Great Oak Manor’s fireplace with views overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Throughout the weekend, writers are welcomed to utilize the hotel’s expansive library and experience the quiet atmosphere of Great Oak Manor. All meals, accommodations, and writing sessions are included in the total cost of the retreat.
