Since finding their new home at UP, the network known for its strong programming around family storytelling, viewers can once again follow the loving and hard-working couple, Rozonno and Mia McGhee, along with their famous McGhee sextuplets Elijah, Issac, Josiah, Madison, Olivia and Rozonno Jr.
The second season of “Growing Up McGhee” premiered earlier this month and as usual, the family does not disappoint with moments of laughter, tantrums, and love.
“It’s a funny thing having six, 6-year-olds that are so different when it comes to their personalities. I will say, they hold nothing back and there’s never a shortage of opinions in our house that’s for sure,” says Mia, who posted the original photo of the family that went viral shortly after the sextuplets were born.
The high school sweethearts have had their hands pretty full since Mia gave birth in 2010, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
McGhee Sextuplets Take on New Season
If you have watched the family’s reality show on UP or previously on OWN, you’ll know that food is always a part of the family’s life. “Ro and I really share the cooking duties. Ro is a great cook and is always coming up with something gourmet. I’m more the type to make something that’s quick and easy. The kids love spaghetti, soups, grilled cheese and tacos,” says Mia.
The McGhees own and run McGhee Carpet Cleaning, but Ro also has a dream of one day owning a restaurant. Testing the waters, he previously launched a food cart business which proved to be harder than he thought, but we’re sure when the time is right, there will be another attempt to make this dream come true.
This season on the show, which airs each Thursday at 9:30 pm EST, viewers can tune in to watch the family’s adventures which include the family tradition of making an apple pie. “Once the kids came we couldn’t wait to carry the tradition on. As far as the recipe goes, it’s an old recipe passed down to us by Pillsbury,” shares Mia.

The episode, affectionally named “Apple Bruisers and Abusers,” aired on January 26. If you missed it, you can catch episode moments online at UPtv.com. You learn the secret to Mia’s famous chili in the clip, “Now That’s Spicy Chili.”
Other highlights from the season include the renewing of the couple’s vows. “Ro and I are also going to renew our wedding vows this season and that is a real dream come true for the both of us because when we got married we couldn’t afford a real wedding and got married by the Justice of the Peace at the courthouse,” says Mia.
