We’re building a food community with amazing recipes. Have a recipe that you want to share?

The Recipe Corner is designed to be a hub of amazing recipes that represent dishes shared and cherished throughout the African diaspora.

This community is great for home cooks and professionals who want to share beloved recipes, promote recipes from a cookbook as well as tap into a few new ones to try.

Guidelines to keep in mind:

  • All recipe submissions should follow the layout guidelines as outlined by this example. Recipes submitted in a different format will be returned for reformatting if approved for inclusion in the Recipe Corner. Download the Sample Recipe Template.
  • Each submission has three parts: (1) this completed form, (2) your recipe as a Word document (.doc or .docx only), and (3) at least one photo. Please upload the Word file and photo(s) before we review.
  • There is a requirement of at least one photo per recipe and the preferable format is landscape or horizontal. You may submit up to four photos per recipe. Videos are optional.
  • Photos don’t need to be professional—just clear, well-lit, and not blurry. If a photo credit is legally required, list it in your Word document. You must own the rights to any images you submit; we take copyright documentation seriously.
  • Feel free to submit as many recipes as desired. There is no limit per recipe creator. There is only one recipe per each submission. Unfortunately, each recipe needs its own submission.
  • Please allow 2 – 3 weeks for review of all recipes for approval or for us to reach out if we have questions.
  • Please keep in mind that recipes are just a roadmap, especially those on the savory side. We all add our own little something to make recipes our own. However, all recipes published in the Recipe Corner will be properly credited and promote the recipe creator.
