Cook Time 4 hours hrs
Servings: 25 , 1.5′ x 1.5′ squares
Ingredients
For the Fudge
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ⅔ cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup marshmallow creme
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
For the Topping
- ⅓ cup dark chocolate chips
- ½ cup crushed hard pretzel pieces
- ⅓ cup roasted peanuts
- chocolate syrup for drizzle
Directions
- Prepare the baking pan. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.
- Make the fudge base. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and evaporated milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Continue boiling for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly and scraping down the sides of the pan with a spatula to prevent burning.
- Add the remaining ingredients. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Immediately stir in the marshmallow creme, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and kosher salt until the mixture is smooth and free of bubbles.
- Pour the fudge and add the toppings. Pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula. Drizzle the chocolate syrup over the top in a zigzag pattern, extending it to the edges of the pan. Evenly sprinkle the dark chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, and roasted peanuts over the top, gently pressing them into the fudge so they adhere as it sets.
- Chill and serve. Refrigerate the fudge for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until firm. Using the parchment overhang, lift the fudge out of the pan and cut it into even squares before serving.
